Note

I made this list of Readings public for people that may feel alienated from The Church and for people that want to learn but are uncomfortable in social settings; and also for people that are interested in Jesus, but don't know where to start. (Approaching The Holy Bible linearly was definitely difficult for me.) Hopefully this relatively shorter compilation will help you at least as much as it helped me. And NO, it's not meant to replace the whole Holy Bible. It's just meant to help people "get up to speed", so to speak. 
[Also, I was hesitant to add this explanation because I don't want to infer any bias. But as you may know, there are many translations of the Holy Bible. I personally (in most cases but NOT all) prefer The Septuagint version of The Old Testament and Apocrypha. And the English translation that I happen to own is called The Orthodox Study Bible.  I only mention this because sometimes the Chapter and verse numbering does not match between translations. So, when I list specific passages from The Old Testament and Apocrypha, the numbering is based on The Orthodox Study Bible.]

Profession Of Faith / Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.  I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God; born of the Father in Heaven before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father In Heaven; through Jesus Christ, all things were made.
